Would you try chili pepper-flavoured rum? I would. And I'd probably regret it shortly thereafter. There's a new spicy rum made by Halewood Artisanal Spirits’ and it's called 'Dead Man’s Fingers'. The rum has been aged six years and apparently designed for cocktails as well.
The ABV is 43%, but more to the point, it'd be interesting to know how spicy it actually is. I don't whether the name is a reference to the fact that sometimes some foods can be so spicy that even just holding them 'kills' you. Probably not, I've probably just made that up.
Anyway, the rum is available now, priced at £26 per 70 cl bottle.
