You can earn a fortune tasting chocolate
A bakery is offering people with a true passion for chocolate a once in a lifetime opportunity.
If your dream job is to be a delivery driver then you are currently spoiled for choice. Every organisation from supermarkets to quaint producers of cream teas currently has a sprawling fleet of vans and lorries dispatched across the nation to ensure that the most essential of supplies (where would we be without chocolate brownies?) arrive in a timely fashion.
However, if you are someone who enjoys a slower pace of life (and gnawing through kilos of chocolate) then the ideal career for you has just hit the market.
Electric Piñata – a UK bakery firm that specialises in confectionery – is eagerly hunting to fill an exclusive roll within the company: bakery tester.
The details of the role make it sound even better. As well as being able to adorn your social media profiles with the boast of being a bakery tester, the extremely lucky successful candidate will earn £600 for eating 12 boxes of the business’s baked goodies. I wonder if Tesco will give me the same benefits if I start downing cans of tomato soup.
Although the job may sound like it’s all fun and games, there is some serious work involved. The jammy winner will be expected to review one box of treats a month for 12 months (with a payment of £50 a time) and submit glamorous photos and videos that will be showcased on the bakery’s website.
With current specialties including the delights of Vegan Deluxe, White Chocolate Madness and Smooth Biscoff, the qualified tester is sure to enjoy a brilliant range of amazing cakes and crunches. To apply for the role, all budding applicants need to do is upload a picture of themselves feasting on chocolate to Facebook or Instagram, tag the official Electric Piñata account and use the hashtag #PlayWithYourFood.
The deadline for applications is the 30th November, so you’ve still got plenty of time to indulge the role of your fantasies.
