You've Heard of One Pan Meals. Well Here's a One Basket Meal!
One air fryer, 12 minutes - and dinner is done!
I love cooking! I especially love cooking on the weekends! But, on the weekdays, after a long day at work and a hour and fifteen minute round trip commute, I want fast and simple meals for dinner. This situation gives the air fryer the opportunity to really shine.
It couldn't be any easier; plug in the air fryer on the countertop, dump frozen French fries on one side of the basket, place two frozen chicken patties on the other side, cook them at 400°F (204°C) for twelve minutes, and cut up some veggies for sandwich toppings. Boom! Dinner is done and it hardly took any time or effort!
Hmmmmm. Perfectly round chicken? Seems legit
Damn, I love my air fryer!
After 12 minutes, the fries were done and crispy, the chicken patties were done, crispy, and juicy. All we had to do was assemble our sandwiches and eat. I topped mine with melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, dill pickle slices, mayonnaise, and sriracha.
Dressed up nicely and served with good company!
It was pretty good! Although I will admit that the suspiciously, perfectly round chicken disc turned out to be heavily processed. Big surprise, right? And for some reason, I've gotta have some hot sauce on a chicken sandwich. The Huy Fond Foods sriracha hot chili sauce is king as far as I'm concerned. While this sandwich would be better served with a real piece of chicken, I'd eat it again as is. Well, we're doing it again for dinner tonight, so I will be!
